Journal Rankings and More: Introduction to Impact in the Sciences Online

Journal metrics and rankings in the sciences, including long-used measures like Impact Factor and Citescore, have evolved to include a variety of new features and data points. At this workshop, attendees will receive and overview of the topic and a demonstration of publication impact measurement databases. In addition, other types of metrics, such as measuring Altmetrics (measures citations to non-traditional publications) and the resources SciMago and PlumX, will be introduced. By Matt Torrence, USF Libraries.
