SPSS Basics Online

This introductory level SPSS workshop covers the basics of getting data into SPSS (e.g., entering data manually, importing Excel data), organizing and preparing data before an analysis (e.g., recoding a variable, computing a variable from other variables), and obtaining descriptive statistics that summarize and visualize data. These include measures of central tendency and variability (e.g., mean, standard deviation), commonly used graphs (e.g., bar chart, histogram, scatterplot), and tables (e.g., frequency, crosstab).
