Introduction to the Atlas of Florida Plants and other databases of botanical information that can be used for research and teaching. This workshop will cover the basic features of the Plant Atlas including how it presents information about plant species as well as how to make use of the search tools available in the Herbarium Specimen Search to retrieve useful data. We will briefly cover how to utilize the Plant Atlas as well as regional and global databases as case studies with broad relevance to fields ranging from archaeology to history to conservation biology.
