Python for Data Collection and Analysis using APIs and LLMs Online
This workshop covers how to collect sizable data from real-world sources, including federal government database (Census Bureau), academic database (OpenAlex), social media (Reddit), and climate data (Copernicus CDS), and how to apply open-source large language models (LLMs) for NLP tasks on the collected data. We will provide Python notebooks that you can adapt for your own research datasets. By Ly Dinh, USF School of Information.
