Primary Source Research for the Humanities Online
Primary sources are invaluable to research in the Humanities. They are the raw and foundational materials that allow us to better confront and comprehend past events. Primary sources can provide unique insights, first-hand testimony, and direct evidence concerning a topic or a historical event. This workshop will provide graduate students with the necessary tools to locate and utilize primary sources for their research. Materials at USF Libraries Special Collections will be highlighted, as will USF’s Digital Collections. Students will also be introduced to strategies for locating primary sources at institutions around the globe and shown potential resources for newspaper research.
